Made by Maplia, with AI
The 3D landmarks, the regional houses, the city facades and the animals in the map were generated for Maplia with AI (FLUX.2 [pro] by Black Forest Labs and TRELLIS.2 by Microsoft, through fal). They are illustrations, not photographs or surveys. Trip plans and the short descriptions of places are written by AI (Claude, by Anthropic) from the open data above; check opening hours, prices and conditions before you go.
Trees, grass and ground textures are generated by Maplia's own code. Some close-up surfaces and plants are CC0 scans from Poly Haven and ambientCG.
Software
Maplia is built with open-source software, used under its licences: three.js (MIT), MapLibre GL JS (BSD-3-Clause), CesiumJS (Apache-2.0), Astro (MIT), Svelte (MIT), meshoptimizer (MIT), Basis Universal (Apache-2.0), proj4js (MIT), postprocessing (Zlib), N8AO (ISC) and ez-tree (MIT). Fonts: Poppins, Space Mono, Anton and Kalam, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Their licence texts ship with their source code.
